One of Chelsea’s summer signings may be on his way out of the club in January, and heading to Besiktas.
Papy Djilobodji only signed for the Blues for around £2.7m in the late summer, in one of the more surprising recent transfer moves. He arrived after nearly 200 league games for French club Nantes.
The 26-year-old has not featured at all in the Premier League, and in fact has only made a one-minute cameo in a Blues shirt, in the Capital One Cup win at Walsall.
The Senegalese international is not registered in their 25-man Champions League squad.
Now it appears his Stamford Bridge stay may be a short one, with Turkish side Besiktas keen.
And the former sporting director of the Turkish giants, Sinan Engin, has announced live on TV that a deal is already in place.
