Reds have major fear about playmaker
Liverpool are reportedly worried that Phillippe Coutinho wants to join Barcelona.
The Brazilian midfielder has been on fine form this season for the Reds, with his 4 goals and 4 assists helping them to joint top in the Premier League.
His contract at Anfield runs until 2020, but Spanish outlet Sport have reported he wants to ‘test himself’ by playing for Barcelona.
However, it’s thought the Spanish champions turned down the chance to sign him last season after they were approached by his agent.
They reportedly believe they are well covered in attacking areas. However, Liverpool have other clubs keeping an eye on their number 10.
Paris St-Germain are willing to do something crazy to sign him while Real Madrid are also credited with an interest.
In a bid to fend off the interest, Liverpool have offered Coutinho a new deal.
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he wants Coutinho join him at the Bernabeu.
“I would like to see Coutinho at Real Madrid, the Liverpool player,” he said.
And Phil Thomson, a Liverpool legend, believes the Brazil international is good enough to be snapped up by one of the big European clubs.
“He could play and you could see him fitting in the Barcelona or Real Madrid team,” he said.
