More bad news for the Premier League champions.
Sergio Aguero was involved in a car crash on his way to Manchester City training on Wednesday morning.
Manchester City have fallen behind in their chase for a third consecutive title to Liverpool, with the Citizens trailing their opponents by eight points already. As a result, they need their entire squad fit and ready to mount a comeback. However, one of their stars was recently caught up in a car crash ahead of a Premier League match.
Sergio Aguero was involved in a car crash on Wednesday, as the Argentine striker crashed his Range Rover ahead of the team training but was said to have escaped unscathed from the ordeal. An image of Aguero’s damaged car was posted online by Daily Mail.
Sky Sports adds that Aguero was not hurt in the accident and was able to fully participate in City’s training session on Wednesday afternoon without the need of medical attention. The 31-year-old had remained in England during the international break following a minor injury. Instead, he trained for Manchester City’s next outing against Crystal Palace in the league, with the Citizens trialing their rivals Liverpool by eight points.
It’s not the first time that Aguero has been involved in such an incident with the former Atletico Madrid striker suffering a fractured rib following a trip to Amsterdam in 2017. City boss Guardiola warned him at the time of his responsibility as a Manchester City player and as a father.
