Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick has insisted he is happy at the Bundesliga club, despite rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
Aubameyang, 27, is also a transfer target for Manchester City, and he recently spoke to German TV station ZDF regarding his future.
The Gabon striker was quoted as saying: “The only club that could lure me away from Dortmund is Real Madrid.”
However, the believes he was ‘misquoted’, and reaffirmed his desire to stay with Dortmund.
He took to social media to announce:
“Just to be clear! I can read everywhere something that I never said ‘only Real Madrid can take me from Dortmund’.
‘I don’t know who transformed my words but I’m sad people do like they want [sic].
‘I’m a player from Borussia Dortmund and in any interviews I was honest with you to say that it [playing for Real Madrid ] was my dream since I’m young young but not more.”
Manchester City were hoping to sign Aubameyang as they embark on their first season under new manager Pep Guardiola.
