The Dutch midfielder could be set to depart Old Trafford
Barcelona are understood to be preparing a £14 million bid for Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind.
The Netherlands international’s future has been thrown into question, since Jose Mourinho has been appointed as the new Manchester United boss, and Barcelona are understood to be interested in the Dutchman.
After a difficult season for the Red Devils, the Portuguese is to be handed £200 million in transfer funds, which will allow Mourinho to let a number of players go, and Blind is understood to be one of them.
Barcelona were interested in the midfielder, who has played most of this season for United in defence, when the Red Devils made a move for the 26-year-old in 2014. However, Blind opted to link up with fellow Dutchman Louis Van Gaal, at United instead.
Robert Fernandez, the Catalan outfit’s technical director is understood to be planning the move. Meanwhile, Mourinho is also ready to offload midfielder Juan Mata, who he allowed to leave Chelsea for United in 2014.
