Solskjaer sets a target of winning trophies at Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that the club are looking to win trophies, and accepted the fact that winning the Premier League is not possible this season. Though he is aiming a top-three finish.

United are currently sixth in the table despite winning all six league games since Ole took charge from Jose Mourinho. They are 16 points behind leaders Liverpool but are still in the FA Cup and Champions League.

Speaking to the media, Solskjaer said: “We’re Man United, you should always aim to win the league.

“We can’t do that this year but we’ve just got to look forward to that again because we have to get back to that.

The Norwegian added: “We’ve got the Champions League, we’ve got the FA Cup, we can’t just say top four and that’s it.

“We’ve got to look at ‘can we win something this year?’ and I go into every single game as a Man United manager thinking we can win this game.”

Manchester United play Burnley at Old Trafford in their next league assignment, while Chelsea awaits in the fifth round of FA Cup and Paris-Saint Germain awaits for the last-16 tie in the Champions League. Without doubt, February would be the most decisive month of their season.
