English Premier League leaders Liverpool are set to face Manchester United without the services of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The English full-back has risen through the ranks under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp and is now considered one of the mainstays of the Reds’ defence. The youngster is apt at defending and is equally good if not better while charging forward. He has a bag of tricks on the ball and is considered to be one of the best crossers of the ball in the Liverpool team.

The young defender is now expected to be out of contention for selection for the high-profile clash against Manchester United and could also be set to face a longer time on the sidelines should the extent of his injury prove to be damaging. He is now adding to a rather uncomfortable list of players missing from the ranks in Jurgen Klopp’s Red army.

Another English right-back Nathaniel Clyne is expected to deputy for Arnold but with Clyne’s own history of injuries, Klopp will remain a worried man. It remains to be seen if the German boss rues the absence of Arnold on Sunday with Manchester United expected to field either Rashford or Sanchez on the left wing.
