The winger for Crystal Palace, Michael Olise, has chosen to sign with Bayern Munich. It is currently anticipated that Bayern and Palace will reach an agreement for the 22-year-old France youth international, ending rumours about his future this summer.
Olise is said to have rejected the opportunity to move to Stamford Bridge after the Blues withdrew their attempt to sign him after failing to agree to his wage demands, according to The Athletic.
The Bundesliga team may sign him if they trigger the £60 million release clause in his contract, but they are now reportedly ready to start formal negotiations with the Eagles to agree on a transfer fee.
David Ornstein confirms Bayern Munich have won transfer race for Michael Olise
Recently, all three teams made their interest in Palace’s talented attacker known. Now that Olise’s circumstances have been updated, Ornstein has said that the athlete is eager to join the Allianz Arena’s ranks as the newest member.
Chelsea actually contacted Crystal Palace on Friday, according to The Athletic. They asked to speak with Olise’s camp and were given permission to do so. However, the Blues withdrew from the process after having discussions because they believed the costs were “beyond reach.”
The agreement might be finalized soon because Olise won’t be competing for France at Euro 2024. However, head coach Thierry Henry has named Olise to the France Under-23 preliminary squad for the upcoming Olympic Games.
