Bayern Munich sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City on five-year contract.
Leroy Sane unveiled as a Bayern Munich player after severe negotiations. Sane, 24 had signed a five-year deal with Bayern that would keep him until 2025.
The deal is supposed to be worth around £54.8 million according to reports.
Sane played a crucial part in the City team that won a domestic treble last year. In 135 appearances for the Premier League side he scored 39 goals and made 45 assists.
“We are happy that we can welcome Leroy Sane to Bayern,” said club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
“He is an excellent player who has proven his qualities over the past years, especially in the national team. Our goal is to gather the best German players at FC Bayern and Leroy’s commitment confirms that.”
Sane won the Premier League twice, in 2018 and 2019, as well as the FA Cup, three League Cups and two Community Shields since joining City from Schalke in 2016.
“I want to win as many trophies as possible with Bayern, and the Champions League is the top priority,” he said.
Sane is Bayern’s third reinforcement for the new season after the free transfers of goalkeeper Alexander Nubel from league rival Schalke and 18-year-old defender Tanguy Nianzou Kouassi from Paris Saint-Germain.
