The Manchester United loanee is yet to start for his new club.

Antonio Conte has revealed that Alexis Sanchez is yet to reach the fitness levels required to start for Inter Milan since his summer switch.

Alexis Sanchez ended a miserable 18-month spell with Manchester United when he completed a season-long loan move to the Giuseppe Meazza at the end of August. However, Inter Milan‘s starting XI for Wednesday’s Serie A game against Lazio will not include the on-loan striker.

The Chilean international is still not ready to start games, according to coach Antonio Conte.

Inter have played four matches since Sanchez’s arrival but the forward has only made one substitute appearance in a 1-0 victory at home to Udinese earlier this month. The 30-year-old did not have a full pre-season with United due to a hamstring injury sustained at the Copa America.

With the Milanese side second to top of Serie A and yet to drop a point, boss Antonio Conte is in no rush to push Sanchez into his side.

“For him it is worth the words I give for everyone else,” he said ahead of Wednesday’s home game against Lazio. “When I see ready players, they will be inserted into the starting line-up.

“I have to work in the interest of Inter Milan, not of individuals.”

While Sanchez has made a slow start at San Siro, ex-United team-mate Romelu Lukaku is thriving. The Belgium international has hit three goals in four Serie A games to fire the Nerazzurri to a perfect record.
