New Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has told Emre Can he can find a new club.
As a result, the former Liverpool midfielder has attracted interest from from both France and Germany.
Last week, Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri revealed his side is forced to cut a great number of players from the current squad before the end of the transfer window: “We have to cut six players from the current squad and that puts me in a difficult position.
“The last 20 days of the market will be difficult for us, it’s an embarrassing situation, because we risk having to leave out players of a very high level.”
One of the many who have failed to impress Sarri since the Italian became club’s boss is Emre Can, who is behind Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi in the midfield pecking order. With the club failing to sell either of them this summer, Can could be the sacrificed player.
Italian newspapers Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport report that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have both made enquiries for the German international.
A move back to Germany, where he played until 2014, could see Can reunited with his former Liverpool team-mate Philippe Coutinho. Whilst, PSG’s director Leonardo is eager to add another midfielder to coach Thomas Tuchel’s squad and reportedly sees Can as an ideal prospect.
Can, who was frozen out during the pre-season, has only been in Turin for a year having moved from Anfield on a free transfer, scoring four times in 37 appearances last season, as the Bianconeri won their eight consecutive Serie A title. However, he looks likely to leave before the Serie A season opener at Parma on 24 August.
