Napoli midfielder Allan is set to miss the next match against Roma after limping off against Atalanta, but the injury is not serious.
Some good news for Carlo Ancelotti was revealed on Thursday, as the Brazilian midfielder is not seriously injured from the bad knock he received against La Dea and will soon be back in action. The 28-year-old will still need some rest, as Napoli confirmed he has sprained his right knee.
Cristiano Giuntoli has confirmed that Allan will miss Napoli’s next game against Roma but assured they expect him to return “as soon as possible”. Despite the player sitting out this weekend, but Giuntoli gave a positive update on the midfielder’s condition.
“All the clinical tests are negative,” the sporting director told Radio Kiss Kiss. “He has responded well, and we hope to have him back as soon as possible.”
After the recent knee injury to Kevin Malcuit, which ruled him out for six months, could the Partenopei bring in a short-term replacement? “Absolutely not. We have got a lot of lads here so we are covered, but we feel sorry for him as he was doing very well.”
