Everton is reportedly making a move for wantaway Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.
The Real Madrid playmaker who turned 29 last month is not wanted by Zinedine Zidane and is eager to sanction a move for the midfielder.
He made only eight La Liga appearances last season and spent his last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti wants a reunion with the Colombian midfielder having managed him both at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
It was in 2014 when Ancelotti was in charge of Madrid, the club paid a ÂŁ63million to sign Rodriguez from Monaco in what was the fourth-most expensive transfer in the world at the time.
This would be a perfect opportunity for Rodriguez as he has simply fallen out of favour under Zinedine Zidane and a reunion with his former boss would be a sensible move.
According to reports, Everton has agreed on personal terms with the midfielder, with James taking a cut on his ÂŁ140,000-a-week wages.
Speaking back in July, Ancelotti admitted his admiration for Rodriguez.
“James Rodriguez? I like, I like a lot as a player,” said the Italian.
“When I left Madrid, James Rodriguez followed me to Munich. He came to play.
“But he followed me as a rumour to Napoli and now he is following me to here Everton as a rumour.
“I have to be honest – I like him a lot.”
