A leaked document has revealed that Real Madrid have a buy-back clause for Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

The document, by website Football Leaks, also goes into detail about how much the Gunners actually paid for the German.

Ozil, 27, became the most expensive German player of all time when he joined Arsenal in 2013 for ÂŁ42.5m.

Football Leaks claims in the document how the deal was broken down.

According to the document, 24 million Euros were paid upfront, a further 15 million Euros the year after, and another 5 million Euros a year after that. Also, the applicable VAT on those sums had to be paid by the North London club.

In addition, from July 1 2014 onwards, the Gunners agreed to pay another €1m for every season they qualified for the Champions League up until 2020.

In total, the deal could end up costing Arsenal 50 million Euros.

Should the Gunners decide to sell Ozil to any club from Spain, Madrid have a 48-hour option to buy him first, as long as they match the offer.

Staggeringly, if the Arsenal sell Ozil to a different Spanish club for more than €50million, Madrid will be entitled to 33 per cent of any profit made on the deal.

The Football Leaks website has been made famous in recent weeks by revealing the details behind transfers for many of football’s big names, including Gareth Bale and Anthony Martial.
