Red Devils boosted in chase for Serie A supertstar Mauro Icardi.
The English giants have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of Mauro Icardi after Real Madrid short listed the player and black striker’s agent in the hope of negotiating a deal.
Icardi has scored 22 goals in Serie A this season already for Inter Milan and he could be on the move this summer.
Both Manchester United and Real Madrid are interested in the Argentina international, who has a release clause of €120million (£104m) in his current contract. Real Madrid have more recently been viewed as the favourites for Icardi after making him one of their top targets this summer.
But, according to Spanish transfer reports, Manchester United have been given hope fresh hope. It is reported that Real Madrid are refusing to do business with Icardi’s agent and wife, Wanda, and that may cause talks to collapse.
The Spanish club have reportedly taken a similar stance with other agents, including Mino Raiola, as they try to assert their authority on the transfer market.
