Atletico Madrid Looking To Bolster Their Attacking Lineup

Atletico Madrid are looking for ways to further improve their attacking lineup, one of them being the addition of Rodrigo Moreno.

The entire summer has passed by with the Valencia man being linked with a switch to the Wanda Metropolitano. However, the only way Diego Simeone will be able to get his man will be by getting Nikola Kalinic off the club’s wage books.

There has been reported interest from AS Roma for the Atletico Madrid forward. Sky Sports and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Kalinic’s immediate move will include a fee worth €7-8m. The Croatian forward is 31 now and is excess to Simeone’s needs at the Spanish capital.

He is due to arrive in Rome for a medical and sign an initial loan agreement. The Serie A outfit will have the option to sign him out permanently after the 2019/20 season.

With Kalinic gone, it will open up a spot for Rodrigo in the Atletico first team. The versatile attacker can play from both wide and central positions and his experience in the European top-flight will give them a much-needed boost in all competitions.

Atletico do have to address Angel Correa’s situation. The Argentine forward, who has been so closely linked with AC Milan is yet to put pen on paper.
