Another day, another Samuel Umtiti story as reports reckon that the defender has threatened to leave the Camp Nou.
Again it seems to be wages that are the problem with Barca reluctant to meet his demands while Manchester United are seemingly happy to throw money in his direction.
Jose Mourinho has made no secrets about his desire to snap up defensive reinforcements once the summer transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has a believed release clause worth £53 million, and Mourinho is keen to trigger the payment to lure him to Old Trafford.
In a recent interview, Umtiti replied “joker(refused to answer)” to a journalist when he was asked if he’ll renew at Barça and if he would sign for Manchester United.
There’s also a real suspicion that Umtiti may be using interest from United to get a better deal out of Barcelona and you suspect this story has some way to go yet.
Umtiti is reportedly on £3.5 million a year. Though United are prepared to table a massive £8 million a season.
