Neymar is set to stay at Paris Saint-Germain after reports emerged stating Barcelona has pulled out of negotiations.
It was revealed earlier last week that both parties had agreed terms but sadly for the Brazilian, it was not meant to be. Brazilian outlet Globoesporte reported that Barcelona have rejected PSG’s final demands.
The La Liga champions went to great lengths to bring back one of their former stars. It was 2017 when Neymar opted for a move away from the Camp Nou, costing PSG around £200m in transfer fees and becoming the world’s most expensive player in football.
After two seasons in the French capital and constant disappointments in the European stage, it seems like the 27-year-old is already fed up with his current employers. He submitted a transfer request earlier in the summer and was met with hostile responses from the club’s supporters in the first home fixture.
PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel has always maintained the stance that Neymar’s transfer speculation has not affected his plans but that might be far from the truth. The German boss will have to find a way to integrate the club’s highest earner back into the lineup somehow since it looks like he will be staying for the 2019/20 campaign.
