Dimitar Berbatov has said Harry Kane will be pondering his Tottenham Hotspur future after his recent form dip.
And Berbatov, speaking in his role as a Betfair ambassador, said: “Harry is scoring goals, but Spurs aren’t performing well. That’s a tough situation and I’ve been there before myself.
“Now he’s on an international break, what happens if he doesn’t get the results he wants with England? He won’t feel good about that.
“I think he will be fine, but I do question if he is out of his comfort zone. Is he asking the right questions of himself?
“Yes, he’s starting for the team, he’s playing regularly and still scoring goals. But is that enough? Is he going to grow and develop constantly if he wants to be among the very best of the very best.
“So, for me, he has questions to answer.
“You can see, after every defeat, how unhappy he is with the result and any chances he may have missed.
“But that shows passion and how much he cares about Spurs.”
He added: “I am sure that Harry Kane is asking questions and challenging himself privately – with his coach, with his agent and with his team-mates.
“They will all be talking with each other to try and get out of the situation that they are in at Spurs.
“In the end, it’s up to him to decide what to do about his future.”
