Jack Wilshere is trying his luck on the South Coast this season, currently on loan at Bournemouth from Arsenal. And one Cherries star reckons the England midfielder would be a great full-time addition.

Wilshere’s long-term future at Arsenal appears to be in disarray, having suffered with injuries and form over the last few years. But a fresh start could be just what he needs to revitalise his career.

Steve Cook, who plays at the heart of the Cherries defence,  is one man who would love to see Wilshere continue to flourish in the Bournemouth colours.

‘He’s a great lad and a great player to have in our team and around in training,’ says Cook.

‘I think it’s been a great decision for him and the team, obviously he’s playing great football and he’s really fitted in well. He’s really flourishing and showing the world how good he is.

‘He can help take Bournemouth to the next level, and hopefully if we can keep him fit and keep him enjoying his football, it would be nice to have him here for longer than this year.’
