Chelsea fume as Costa gets banned…. Again!

Chelsea Football Club has released a statement following a decision by the FA Regulatory Commission to suspend Diego Costa for three-matches, after they found him guilty of Violent Conduct.

The statement reads:

‘We are extremely disappointed with the FA Regulatory Commission’s decision to suspend Diego Costa. We will await their written reasons before commenting further.’

The Brazilian clashed on multiple occasions with Laurent Koscielny during Saturdays fixture against Arsenal.

This incident has certainly divided opinion amongst the footballing community and Chelsea once again feel that they have been ‘made and example of’ by the FA who have a poor consistency record when dishing out retrospective punishments.

This is the second time Diego Costa has been charged retrospectively by the FA, both times under controversial circumstances. Chelsea are sure to argue their case and can probably point to over a dozen more serious offences that have gone unpunished over the past couple of seasons as justification.

Have Chelsea once again been hard done by? Or have they got what they deserve?…. Feel free to comment bellow.

  1. Its not lawful for a player who was attack to be banned. FA need to do unfair judgement, Costa was indeed wrong to slap Koscielny but that is a quality of a good striker to scare a defender. What involved Gabriel at long last is what I don’t understand. He attack and slapped Costa at the face, he is not guilty that is what FA decided. It remains, “NO COSTA NO PROBLEM”

  2. Much as I will not support indiscent conduct on the field of play by Diego Costa, the judgment metted out is unfortunate and leaves much more to be desired because it is one-sided. If the red carded player is pardoned, I see no reason why the punishment is reversed. It is a clear testimony of high handedness on the part of the FA on Costa in particular and Chelsea as a Club should the Arsenal intruder-player go without being punished.

  3. I know dat dis will be d case FA is not being fair to chelsea. Last season similar incident happend when a player kick on a chelsea player i tink Matic and he reacted on d player but d ban Matic witout eventurning it. chelsea appeal d case FA did not overturn it. Why is FA bringing somuch hatred on chelsea. I hate english FA
