Manchester City usually get what they want.
The year Pep Guardiola took over and was not happy with the defensive depth and strength, he wanted some changes. The City owners splashed out a lavish £260 million over the next 18 months only on defence besides other recruitments.
Now that Pep has expressed his displeasure once again, over the left back, City are looking once again in the market. They usually go for the best and one of the best in the business in the current market is David Alaba of Bayern Munich.
He is playing as a centre back right now due to Munich’s lack of defensive options centrally. However, he is by nature a brilliant left back. The defende signed a £75,000 per week salary contract for the next five years but Alaba is unhappy at being made to play as a centre back.
This is where the Citizens can cash in and use their financial powers to not only convince Munich, who now have Davies at left back but also Alaba, as they are reportedly ready to double his salary.
City will however, be hampered by the fact that they are currently banned out of Europe.
