Manchester United and Arsenal are looking set to regret not signing Ilkay Gundogan, as the midfielder is poised to sign a new contract at Borussia Dortmund
The Dortmund star has continuously been linked with a move to the Premier League over the last couple of years. However, The Sun are claiming that Gundogan, who has in the past turned down a contract extension at Dortmund, is poised to sign a new 12 month deal.

The reports have claimed that, because of the new deal, Gundogan’s future fee could increase by a huge £10million.
United and Arsenal both had the chance to sign him for just £15million, but will now have to pay £25million if they want to buy him in the future.
Gundogan’s agent admitted his client could perform a u-turn and stay at Dortmund when he said: “This is clearly an option again.
“There are several things in favour of Ilkay finding his old level and doing that in a familiar, comfortable environment.”
