Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has said his team are keen on making new additions in the January transfer window.
The new Southampton boss has rejuvenated the squad and the team’s performance since he took over last month. He has admitted their squad size might be a little too big at the moment but is in no way shying away from making a necessary signing to improve on the weakness in his squad.
“The squad is still a little bit too big for me,” Hasenhuttl said. “Sometimes there are 24 players and that makes it not possible to play 11 v 11 because there are three or four guys left out there. We took a few young players into the squad, which I thought was necessary, because it helps us create a new hierarchy and bring in a few young, hungry players in.
