Kevin De Bruyne: A class apart

Kevin De Bruyne has been hailed as a class act by Scotland international Ryan Christie.

“He is a class act,” Christie said. “These are the kind of players that I aspire to. He is in a similar position to me. The positions he picks up and the way he hurts teams and his finishing as well. The ball in for their second goal was frightening and his finish for the fourth is pretty impressive as well. It is good for me. I want to test myself against the best teams in the world so it is a learning experience for me so hopefully I learn from it and move on.”

Kevin De Bruyne was a Chelsea product but the Blues did not recognize the emerald jewel they had on their hands. It saw him leave for Wolfsburg and they ended up selling him to Manchester City where he continued his growth to become one of the best midfielders in the world. His class was in testimony day before yesterday when he put up a hat trick of assists for Belgium while on national duty.

For Manchester City, he has already notched up assists in four consecutive matches. Watch out people, we might have already found our PFA Player of the Year!
