Brendan Rodgers wants the forward on loan

Liverpool are looking to secure a deal to keep Radamel Falcao in England.

The Colombian has struggled to make an impact at Man United, where he has spent the season on loan. However, it hasn’t put off the Reds, who are looking to try and secure a deal for him.

Juventus deal has collapsed

The striker was believed to be on his way to Italy, with Juventus planning to seal a permanent deal for him. However, that move now appears dead in the water, with the Turin side having pulled out of a move.

It leaves Liverpool free to open talks with representatives of Falcao, as they look to bring in a new striker. The Anfield club are currently lacking options in the goals department, with Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini all failing to deliver and Daniel Sturridge being injury prone.

The only stumbling block Liverpool may face trying to sign Falcao on loan is the potential fee – it could cost Brendan Rodgers a massive ÂŁ35m to just secure a short-term deal for the 29-year old.

But, if they can reduce the fee or at least find the funds to finance a move, then Falcao could remain in England for yet another season.
