Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has agreed to join Serie A club Juventus in the summer according to multiple reports.
Emre Can’s contract expires next summer and has not signed a new one. Therefore Can has been free to talk to other clubs and has agreed to join Juventus in a free transfer next summer.
Can has “reached an agreement in principle” with Juventus according to Sky Italy.
Liverpool could still sell Can in this transfer window in order to get some money for him, but it seems likely Can will go at the end of the season for free.
While the loss of the 23-year-old German will be a big blow, manager Jurgen Klopp will be pleased that the Reds have managed to sign midfielder Naby Keita. Liverpool recently signed Keita from RB Leipzig after reaching an agreement that Keita would join the Reds next season. Keita should plug the hole that Emre Can will leave behind.
Juventus tried to sign Can last summer but Liverpool held tight and refused to let him go. But Can has been free to talk to other clubs as he is in his final six months of his contract and has chosen Juventus.
Can has made 17 appearances in the Premier League this season and has scored one goal and made three assists.
