Pep Guardiola has a big squad on his hands.

He is known for working with big teams and big players. The Catalonia based man became a manager at Barcelona. Ever since then he is used to training quality squads of big players.

Now at Manchester City, he once again finds himself players with supreme quality. One area of the field where there is strength in depth, it is the wings.

They have Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and maybe even Phil Foden. Phew! That is some quality.

With Sterling set to start almost every big game and Sane injured, it is between Silva and Mahrez to fight out for a spot on the right wing. However, Mahrez is preferred less than Silva, who has been on premium form.

However, Mahrez does not seem to complain much about it and has accepted the current situation.

“His concern was about my work-rate first, because at Leicester it was more of a team rate where we were trying to counter,” he told Mirror Football.

“Whereas at City it’s more about pressing and a very high effort and intensity. It’s taken some time to have it myself, but I think now it’s good.

“I didn’t think I needed to adapt until I came here and started training, but I’ve definitely changed as a player and improved.”
