Ex Chelsea boss is odds-on favourite to be next manager at Old Trafford
Jose Mourinho could be taking a huge step closer to becoming the next United manager after discussing the potential move with his staff.
The Special One was sacked by Chelsea for the second time in his career last month but wants to remain in England.
According to reports, Mourinho and his agent have already held preliminary talks with the club and could take charge in the summer.
Van Gaal still under pressure
Despite Sunday’s victory over bitter rivals Liverpool, United are still off the pace in the league and fans remain unconvinced by Louis van Gaal.
The supporters were obviously delighted to do the double over Liverpool, but more alarming matters saw United conjure up just four shots in the two figures, but impressively scored four goals.
Too much negative football will make it very difficult for van Gaal to win the fans back and which makes it unlikely he will be at the club next season.
