Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino does not expect any new signings in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur finished in the top three for the last few years and to the surprise of everyone, they did not buy a single new player in the summer to strengthen their squad. The North London side are making a move to a new stadium and one can assume that all other costs will have to be cut down to make the club financially stable again.

When asked if he expects new signings in January, he said, “[It will be] difficult. I don’t believe we are going to do anything. I am so happy with my squad but always you can improve.”

Pochettino has more headache in the form of back-up striker Llorente who might leave at the end of the season. “He has six months left with the club, we will see what happens,” said Pochettino. “Like I said for different players, it is not only in our hands. It is what the player wants. Now the transfer window is open we are going to talk.”

The club are also in dialogue with their star player Eriksen who might be on the verge of an exit as well come summer 2019.
