Chelsea legend Tony Cascarino has slammed Arsenal star and former Germany international Mesut Ozil for his poor performances for the Gunners.
Ozil is on a high pay roll at the club, in fact he is the highest earner at the club but he does not provide enough for the money he earns, according to Tony.
“A lot has been said about Ozil, there’s one thing from the outside that bothers me.
“Certainly from a World Cup winner, a very experienced player, been a captain – is how comfortable he seems to feel with him saying absolutely nothing about being left out, been dropped from squads.
“And I’m not thinking there should be this huge battle and him saying things in the press.
“But I feel like there needs to be much more fight from him to be in this team or to be part of this squad.
“Some of his performances stunk of no real inner fight to actually prove that he is going to take a game by the scruff of the neck.”
“His current situation at Arsenal is not good but this is part of life and his career. He worked hard for 10 years for his passion so I think he will come back.”
