It has been revealed that both Chelsea and Manchester City failed in their attempts to sign Paul Pogba during the summer transfer window.
The France star was subject to multiple bids from both of the Premier League giants throughout the summer, with Juventus chief Giuseppe Marotta confirming that all bids made by the clubs were rejected immediately.
He said: “There were offers from other clubs formalised, but we have rejected them because Paul is the heritage of the club.
“Maybe we have loaded him with many responsibilities, but this will help him to become a leader.”
It is understood that both Manchester City and Chelsea will not give up hope on signing the powerhouse midfielder in the upcoming transfer window, with Barcelona also having a very high interest in the player.
