The agent of Paris St Germain’s Argentinian star Ezequiel Lavezzi has confirmed that Chelsea are in talks to sign the player.
Lavezzi’s deal with the French club is expiring in the summer, and he is rumoured to be wanting a move.
A host of clubs are allegedly interest in him, including Liverpool, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Barcelona.
But his agent, Alessandro Moggi, claims Chelsea have stolen a march on their rivals, and are in talks.
“Inter are the most interested team at the moment,” Moggi told Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset.
“There was interest from Barcelona and Chelsea, and we’re talking with the Blues.
“I can’t rule out him only leaving Paris at the end of the season though, as Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in keeping him.”
Lavezzi, with 47 international caps to his name, joined PSG in 2012 from Italians Napoli.
