Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio has said that the club hasn’t received any satisfactory offer for Ivan Perisic. The Croatian winger wants to leave Inter Milan and handed in a transfer request on Saturday. He subsequently did not play in Sunday’s match against Torino. This season, Perisic has made 25 appearances for the Nerazzurri across all competitions so far. He has scored three goals and has provided 5 assists.

Perisic has been linked to Arsenal in the January transfer window. While Arsenal reportedly want to sign him on loan, Inter Milan want to sell him permanently. During the summer and before that, there were reports linking Perisic to Manchester United. However, Inter managed to keep him.

Piero Ausilio has said that Perisic wants to leave Inter Milan but the club is yet to receive a satisfactory offer for the winger. the Inter director said, “Perisic wants to go abroad, but there are no suitable offers. If he does remain, I expect the same professionalism from him as always. We intend to get him back on track and it shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t think it’ll take very long. I can say the Inter transfer market is closed. We had some fitness issues with Sime Vrsaljko and did well to immediately cover the gap with Cedric Soares [from Southampton].

Inter have had a difficult path over the last few years, having changed ownership three times, but we now have a solid and ambitious owner who with time and patience can achieve great things.”

Inter Milan’s defeat to Torino on Sunday saw them remain on third place in the Serie A table. However, they are now eight points behind second-placed Napoli and 19 points behind leaders Juventus. The Nerazzurri next play Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals on Thursday.
