Chelsea have recently held talks with Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino regarding joining the Stamford Bridge outfit, according to reports.

The Blues are almost certain to name Antonio Conte as their new manager, to take over from Guus Hiddink this summer.

indeed, Conte is set to meet Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in Monaco next week, possibly to discuss terms.

The Sunday Times claim that the Premier League champions had negotiations with Pochettino towards the end of last month.

The Blues seemed to be encouraged  by the talks, but Pochettino himself appears less sure, with Spurs currently second in the table.

He is also understood to be unconvinced by Chelsea’s inconsistent form this season.

Pochettino has also been linked with a move to the Manchester United dugout.

His record of bringing in youth players, first with Southampton and then Tottenham, has been producing results this term, the North London side only behind Leicester City in the league standings.
