Callum Hudson-Odoi hands in the transfer request
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has handed in a transfer request in a bid to secure a move to Bayern Munich in the remaining days of this transfer window.
With just four days remaining in the deadline day, the 18-year-old has decided not to sign a new contract with the Stamford Bridge-based club, which was worth £85,000 a week, and believes his future lies with the Bundesliga giants.
The Sky Sports report says that Chelsea have so far failed to reply to fourth bid of £35m made by Bayern for Hudson-Odoi. And the Bavarians are also understood to be ready to break their club-record in order to get the winger across the line at the Allianz Arena.
Hudson-Odoi has made only 14 first-team appearances for the Blues, and it was a lack of opportunities that became the main reason as to why he has decided to leave the club.
Last summer, we witnessed young English talents Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson moving to Dortmund and Hoffenheim respectively and doing very well. The former has done so well that he is a regular feature in a Dortmund team, that is flying in the league at the moment.
Looking at these examples, we could see a talent like Hudson-Odoi shining in Germany. He has all the tool to become a star at Bayern.
