Chelsea starlet Andreas Christensen has told Antonio Conte that he wants a regular starting spot or he will leave the club.
The 20-year old impressed during his two-year loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach and is ready for the step up at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have rejected a £14.25 million bid from Die Borussen for Christensen’s permanent services, meaning Conte obviously rates the player.
However, the Denmark international doesn’t want to warm Chelsea’s bench next season, and admits he is ready to move on from the Premier League club.
“The main thing is to play. That’s the main thing that I want for my future,” Christensen told Goal.
“It is all about playing football and that’s it. Playing at Chelsea is an ambition of mine, to play over there in the first team, but right now I am not thinking about the future.”
“I am not thinking about Chelsea and what they are doing and what I am doing. I am focusing on what Borussia is doing,” he added.
“I am just really looking forward to playing games and hopefully qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League.”
