Jose Mourinho is still beloved by fans of Inter Milan, and they would like to see him back, according to the Nerazzurri’s president.
Chelsea boss Mourinho was in charge at Inter between 2008 and 2010, winning five trophies including two Serie A titles and the Champions League once.
He left for Real Madrid right after the Champions League success.
Inter president Erick Thohir insists the club are happy with Roberto Mancini, but admits that the fans still love the Special One.
Mourinho? For all the Nerazzurri fans he’s The One,” Thohir told Italian station TV One.
“But we agreed a project with Mancini and we consider him to be the right man.
“He’s committed to rebuilding Inter in the next two or three years and I think that the results are pretty satisfactory.
“The Scudetto? It’s an open title race.
Mourinho’s Chelsea sit in 15th in the Premier League after a 1-0 win over Norwich at the weekend.
Mancini’s Inter are top of Serie A with just one defeat in 13 league games. They won 4-0 over Frosinone at the weekend.
Even though they are top, Mancini is under increasing pressure to get results. Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with both jobs.
