Chelsea join rivals in race for Barcelona winger
Premier League champions Chelsea are preparing a move for Barcelona winger Pedro, according to reports.
Pedro has seen his game time limited at the Camp Nou this season, mainly making substitute appearances while manager Luis Enrique has preferred the South American trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar as his main attacking threats.
European Interest
English top-flight rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are also keen on Pedro, 27, with Inter Milan keeping tabs on the situation.
But Blues manager Jose Mourinho, set to sign a new four-year deal to remain at Stamford Bridge worth £42m, is already planning a fresh assault for trophies next season.
Chelsea Planning for Next Season
Mourinho is thought to be chasing reinforcements all over the pitch, a goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward on his radar.
It may take a bid of £24m for Barcelona to sell Pedro, who has 10 goals this season.
Barcelona Career
Spanish star Pedro has spent his entre career with the Catalan side, progressing up through the famed youth system.
During the 2009-10 season, he became the first player in history to score in six different official club competitions in one season, a feat later matched by Messi.
