Milan Skriniar has lifted the lid on Antonio Conte’s impact since his arrival in the summer. The Serbian played a crucial role at the back as the Nerrazurri grabbed 3 points in their second league game against Cagliari, thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.
“These are three important points which we have picked up. Playing matches here is always difficult as Cagliari are a physical team,” he said in an interview with Sky Sport.
“We were not very concentrated at the start of the second half but the reaction after we conceded the goal was important. Conte has brought a winning mentality with him to the club, something which has been missing in recent years.”
Skriniar was also quizzed over Mauro Icardi’s transfer saga but refused to comment on the same.
“I cannot say anything. It is up to the club what they decide to do and what he decides to do too,” he said.
Inter Milan will look to keep up the good work when they face Udinese at home following the international break.
