Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the reason behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed training yesterday was due to ‘an appointment.
The attacker, 26, has been strongly tipped to head to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool reportedly keen.
The Sun claims that Dortmund are even in talks with Arsenal regarding a switch.
While ex-Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to use his contacts to tempt the player to Anfield.
However, the German club are keen to keep hold of him, or at least avoid letting him go on the cheap, with a 42 million Euro fee quoted.
Fuel was added to the fire when Aubameyang skipped training yesterday.
However, Dortmund claim this was due to ‘personal reasons’.
“The reason is pretty well known in fact: He missed training due to a personal appointment. Will be back tomorrow,” the club tweeted.
Aubameyang is in red hot form this season, with 17 goals from 18 appearances.
