Carlo Ancelotti set to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to Premier League

The Italian has opted to take up this new challenge.

And he means business…

Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly agreed terms to become the next manager of Everton in the Premier League, and he has a big bit of business lined up as well. Reports seem to suggest that Ancelotti wants to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic into the club this January, which would be a major coup for a club the size of Everton.

Ancelotti apparently wanted the Swede to join him at Napoli as well, but as we know, the former AC Milan and Chelsea manager was sacked by the Serie A club recently. He has since entered talks with Everton, after they sacked their previous boss Marco Silva, and decided that Duncan Ferguson was not quite ready to take over full time at the Toffees.

Rai Sport pundit Paolo Paganini as well as Italian journalist Nico Schira claim that Ancelotti has not lost hope of being reunited with Ibrahimovic, as they could end up together at Everton. This would fit in with AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban noting Ibra was “further away” from agreeing a move to them.

Sky Italia also suggested over the weekend that Ibrahimovic is tempted by a Premier League club, but it is not a return to Manchester United. The Swede is a free agent after his contract with the LA Galaxy expired and he dropped multiple hints he was hading back to Serie A, with Milan, Bologna, Napoli and Roma interested.

Over the last couple of days, Napoli have said he is “not a priority” and Milan commented Ibrahimovic was no closer to accepting their terms. Zlatan and Ancelotti have worked together before at Paris Saint-Germain, so this would be an interesting combination at work if it does indeed end up happening.
