Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has outlined Liverpool ace Sadio Mane as the danger man for Manchester City.
Liverpool host Manchester City tomorrow night in what promises to be a high quality and epic clash at the top of the table. The Reds are unbeaten in the league and face the big challenge of welcoming the defending champions.
However, Liverpool have a few trump cards of their own. One specific player who is in great form and has been named as a danger man for Manchester City is Sadio Mane.
The Senegalese forward has taken over from Mo Salah as the danger man up front and City will know they will have a task on their hands.
“I don’t think there’s much between the attacks,” Ferdinand told BBC 5Live. “It’s the other end of the pitch, the defences, where Liverpool absolutely override Man City.
“I’d probably not want to play at the moment against the Liverpool front three – I think Mane is an absolute nightmare for any defender.”
Manchester City are already without their prime defender in Laporte and goalie Ederson and will have to work extra hard to keep Mane and company at bay.
