Fulham have signed German winger Andre Schurrle on loan from Borussia Dortmund for the next two seasons. The West London club will be playing in the Premier League for the first time in four years, having gained promotion from the Championships through the playoffs. Schurrle is Fulham’s 5th signing this summer.

Schurrle said, “I can’t wait to get started. I have to fight for my place and I have to show my quality so that I can be a member who really helps the team.”

Fulham will be the 27-year old’s second Premier League club. He spent two seasons in another West London club, Chelsea. At Chelsea, Schurrle played 65 matches, scoring 14 goals.

Schurrle didn’t have the best of seasons with Dortmund in 2017-18 as he missed the first two months due to a muscle injury. He eventually played 18 league games, scoring once and providing 6 assists.

The winger scored three goals at the 2014 World Cup and provided the assist for Mario Gotze’s winner in the final.
