Harry Kane Dismisses Fitness Concerns

Harry Kane has refuted all claims he is not fully fit and has insisted he is ready and raring to go.

The English international seems to have lost his golden touch since his return from the World Cup as his struggle in front of the goal has been pretty evident.

The 25 year old might have been able to escape from the August voodoo but hasn’t been able to replicate his last season’s form having found the net on two occasions in five matches so far.

There have been concerns regarding his fitness following a gruesome summer schedule as he led the Three Lions in the World Cup and then also had a pretty tight preseason on the US soil.

Kane rarely troubled the Liverpool defence in the last match as they were outplayed by Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Wembley. Kane said, “People are always going to look for stuff, especially when you are a big part of the team and someone who is there to get the goals.

“As a team we can all do better and as the striker you get spoken about more, but I feel sharp and fit and if I wasn’t the manager would not be picking me.

“He believes in me, I believe in myself and hopefully I can score a couple of goals on Tuesday and it will be put to bed.”

He went on to add, “We will bounce back – through the season we are one of the fittest squads and we will continue to be this year,

“Nobody likes to lose big games and now we have another big game against Inter.

“If we win that we boost our confidence. When we get into a rhythm and play game after game, that’s what I like – and I can get into positions where you know where to score goals. We can change the momentum and get results again.”
