Is Boca Juniors star on his way to Chelsea?

Chelsea are lining up a move for Jonathan Calleri of Boca Juniors, and the move seems closer because of the star’s dad.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Premier League champions have been tracking Calleri for some time.

The star has just received an Italian passport, which could make a potential move easier.

This is the case because even though Calleri, 22,  was born in Buenos Aires, he has not yet made an appearance for the Argentine national side.

Calleri’s father has claimed that two European clubs are keen on his son, one of which is Inter Milan.

He said: “Right now, I am dealing with the future of Joni, there is no other person in charge.

“Inter in pole position? Let’s say it (is) one (of) the two clubs interested.

“It’s a team that we really like. The other is an English club.”
