Harry Winks will keep fighting for his place in the Spurs squad.

Out-of-favour Spurs midfielder Harry Winks has been linked with a move away to Valencia this transfer window.

The Spurs graduate has failed to earn a place in the regular squad and it was expected he would move away from the North London club.

His deal with Spurs expires in the summer of 2024 but the 24-year old has been vocal about his limited playing time.

Winks said last summer: “my situation at Tottenham is difficult at the moment and it’s important that I keep fighting and working as hard as I can to stay in the squad and to stay in the team.

“I want to be a part of that in Euros and I want to be in the starting XI in the Euros as well.”

Mourinho on Winks exit this January: “What do I have to say to stop with this talk? I said already that he’s going nowhere. When I say he’s going nowhere, what more do you want me to say?

“He played the last matches. He didn’t play the last one because it was a chance to let players like Gedson [Fernandes] get minutes.

“Tomorrow, he’s selected again,” Mourinho revealed. “If someone’s talking to other clubs, I’d say don’t waste your time.”
