Jose Mourinho is making plans for when, and if, he becomes Manchester United manager.
Current United manager Louis Van Gaal’s disappointing reign may well be over tonight if the club fail again against Derby County in the FA Cup.
Ex-Chelsea boss Mourinho has made no secret of the fact he wants the Old Trafford job, and has been making plans for some time.
These plans are set to include the signature of Franco Vazquez to the red half of Manchester, according to reports.
Palermo star Vazquez is valued at about £22.9m, and has been identified by the Portuguese as a key target, claim the Corriere dello Sport.
Speculation about Vazquez’s future has been fuelled by his ex-manager Davide Ballardini, who says the attacking midfielder is ready for the rigours of the Premier League.
Ballardini told Mediaset Premium: ”Vazquez? He is ready for a big team, with his quality [he] deserves a big European club like Liverpool or Manchester United.”
