Jurgen Klopp Hits Out At Gary Neville

Jurgen Klopp has a piece of advice for Gary Neville who suggested Liverpool should concentrate on the Premier League rather than the Champions League.

Klopp is looking to build on last season’s success when the Reds surprised everyone by cruising to the Champions League final. Had it not been Mohamed Salah’s injury the result could have been different.

The Reds have made an encouraging start to the current campaign having won their first four matches in the Premier League. They will be trying to replicate their form when they launch their Champions League campaign against Paris Saint German.

Neville said Liverpool don’t have the squad depth to cope up with the hectic schedule but Klopp has launched a lengthy tirade prior to the Tottenham Hotspur game.

“How would that work? We don’t play Champions League or what? Gary should come over and tell me exactly how that works.

“How do you prepare for a game when you don’t focus on it? I don’t understands, do we play with kids or what? To focus on one competition can only be if you are out, or nearly out, or of if it’s late in the season.

“Last year I don’t even think Gary would have said ‘let City win the Champions League. Sitting in an office talking about football is different to doing the job.”
