Kieran Trippier’ time at Tottenham seems to be over. The Englishman, according to Marca, has agreed on a four-year deal with Spanish side Atletico Madrid and will join for around €30m.
Trippier was pre-dominantly the first-choice right-back for Tottenham, however, an offseason with the club has seen him seeking pastures new.
Atletico Madrid initially tried to sign Nelson Semedoo as a part of the Antoine Griezmann deal, but when Barca refused, they turned their attention to the Englishman instead.
Trippier will be competing with Santiago Arias for a first-team spot in Diego Simeone’s playing XI.
